Sis. Dawkins was born in Kingston, Jamaica and migrated to Toronto, Canada in 1976. She gave her life to the Lord at the age of 27 under the leadership of Bishop Desmond Davis from Divine Pentecostal Church.
Currently, she attends Apostolic Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Pastor Audley Castro.
She has worked in the Outreach Ministry and in college and career classes at her local assembly. Additionally, she has served as the Sunday School Coordinator and teaches the New Convert’s class and Preteen and Children’s Church. She is also the assistant to the Christian Education Superintendent.
Sis. Dawkins completed The New Birth Program and received a certificate from Kent Christian College offered by David Bernard. She also received a basic Ministerial training and Sunday School Teacher certificate from Apostolic Pentecostal Church, and Sunday School Teacher certificate from United Pentecostal Church.
Her other educational pursuits include classes at Seneca College and Access Business College Banking and Financial Services. She received an Honors diploma in Access, Banking Financial Services, and Investment Funds Institute of Canada Mutual Funds License.
Her endeavor is to continue her Biblical studies by working towards an associate degree in Christian Counseling at Yakhad Bible College, and serves in an administrative role over Student Affairs.
Sandra Newell
Administration / Financial Advisor
Missionary Sandra Newell was born in Kingston, Jamaica and relocated to Toronto, Canada at the age of 6. She was raised in a Pentecostal, Apostolic home and accepted Jesus in water baptism at 8 years old. At the age of 13, Missionary Newell received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Bishop D.W. Thompson at Bethlehem United Pentecostal Apostolic Church in Toronto.
While she struggled with her faith for several years, she found her way back to God and has been fully committed to the work of the kingdom. Currently, she attends The Church of Jesus Christ- Ajax, under the leadership of Pastor S. Lambert. In 2019, Missionary Newell was ordained by Bishop W. Peynado, and serves in her local assembly as the acting Sunday School Superintendent. She also is responsible for Outreach and Evangelism, and engages in various fundraising activities, and serves in other areas of ministry as needed.
With her passion for serving women in broken situations, in 2019 she founded and is the CEO of Women on Fire Ministries. Missionary Newell is truly kingdom minded and strives to live a life that exemplifies the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. She serves with integrity, commitment to restoring the loss, and excellence in service, as she believes she is called into the kingdom for such a time as this.
She has worked over 30 years in the health care sector and is currently pursuing her studies to obtain a theology degree in Christian Counselling at Yakhad. In addition, she serves in an administrative capacity over Student Financial Services.
